Final Notes FROM THE 2009-2010 PRESIDENT:
The National Convention will be held in Milwaukee, WI August 27 - Sept 2nd. There are lots of activities planned and the meetings should be informative. On Tuesday - there will be a Woman of the Year luncheon and representing the Department of Kentucky is Mrs Patty Heath of Elizabethtown, KY. Congrats Patty!!!
Friday August 27th - SAL Dinner Dance 5pm - 1130pm American Legion Post 120 free transportation available Dinner - $18 Dance $5 Both - $20 Live Music, door prizes, raffles Motorcycle Theme Event

Saturday August 28 9am to noon - Pre-Convention Meetings 1-3:30pm - Southern Division Caucus
Sunday August 29 11am - Memorial Service 4pm - Parade begins
Monday August 30 8am - 1230pm - Opening Session 2pm - Strategic Focus Groups
Tuesday August 31 8am - noon - Meetings 12:30pm - Women of the Year Luncheon (GO PATTY!!!) 6:30pm - National Commanders Dinner
Wednesday September 1 8am - 1230pm - meetings 7pm - States Dinner
Thursday September 2 8am - 915am - Installation of new Officers (Congrats Barbara Austin) 930am - NEC meeting
If you are attending National and need more information - just let me know. We will try to get together before Sunday to let everyone know where we are meeting to line up for the parade.
Thanks for a GREAT year - YOU ROCK. Just heard from National that we are NUMBER 5 in Membership!!! Also - to date over 20,000 dollars has been raised for USA CARES.
